Engine:
Meagre on fuel, low on noise. The engines used in MF4700 Series tractors are all of a long stroke design that provides high levels of torque across a broad speed range. Maximum torque is achieved at a low engine speed of 1,500 rpm on both models. With a low rated engine speed of only 2,200 rpm, not only is diesel use minimised, but so too are both noise and wear and tear, resulting in lower fuel bills and a more pleasant operator experience.
Proven power, perfect package Renowned for compact, frugal power and proven reliability, a 3.3-litre AGCO POWER three-cylinder engine is at the core of the 74 hp Massey Ferguson 4707 model, providing 296 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm.
Easy on the Operator:
To ensure customers have the most suitable specification for their operation, there are two specification variants, Standard and Essential, available in the MF4700 Series model ranges.
Standard Variant:
The Massey Ferguson 4700 Standard Variant features:
- Footstep operators station with side mounted gear selectors
- Platform mounted pedals
- Mechanical Clutch
- Mechanical Synchronised forward/ reverse shuttle located to the left of the operator
- Mechanical brakes
Essential Variant: The Massey Ferguson 4700 Essential Variant features:
- Semi-platform operator’s station with side mounted gear selectors
- Pendant pedals
- Power Control Lever with comfort control and wet clutch to the left of the steering column
- Hydraulic brakes
Shuttle Options:
Moving between forward and reverse for loader work, field headlands or even hooking up implements, is made easier with a variety of forward/reverse shuttle options.
Standard Mechanical: Synchronised mechanical forward and reverse shuttle
Fitted to all Standard Variants is a simple, yet exceptionally easy to use synchronised mechanical forward and reverse shuttle located to the left of the operator’s seat. Clutch operation is a simple and effective mechanical dry-plate type giving great functionality in a cost effective package.
Essential Variants: power shuttle
Forward to reverse as quickly as you like
For the ultimate in forward and reverse shuttle operation, the Essential Variant is available with the Massey Ferguson Power Control Lever. Similar in design and operation to the Power Control Lever featured on Massey Ferguson products such as the MF6600, MF7600 and MF8600, the new Power Control Lever is located to the left of the steering column and features Comfort Control to alter the aggressiveness of the direction change.
Functions include:
- Clutchless forward and reverse shifting
- Speed of direction change can be altered through the Comfort Control dial
- Declutch by lifting the handle to enable gear changes without the clutch pedal
- Coupled with a multi-plate wet clutch and the 12x12 synchromesh transmission, this gives the operators a highly flexible and easy to use system designed for operations such as loader work where frequent changes of direction are required.
Operator Environment:
A tractor that has been designed with simplicity of operation at its heart doesn‘t have to have a basic operator environment. Designed from the outset with an emphasis on comfort and ease of use, the MF 4700 series tractors make hard work a pleasure.
Grab rails mounted outside the operator station (platform version) or on the large opening doors provide easy access to the steps, mounted directly to the machine, while a low transmission tunnel creates a spacious operator environment.
Once seated, manually-operated controls are sited in the most ergonomic positions, making them comfortable to operate and reliable over the course of many thousands of tractor hours.
Cab Comfort: We know you are likely to spend many hours of your working day inside the cab of your MF 4700 Series tractor and we‘ve paid special attention to designing an interior that is both practical and comfortable.
From the ergonomically crafted right-hand side console and controls, to the smartly positioned gear and range levers and functional dashboard, nothing is missing to make your long and hard day productive with less fatigue and more output.
